New Leadership Announced at Temple Sinai
Dear Temple Sinai Family,
We hope this email finds you well and in good spirits. We are delighted to share the incredible outcome of the recent Special Congregational Meeting that took place on Sunday, June 11. It was a momentous occasion where Temple Sinai members came together to shape the future of our beloved synagogue.
Under the guidance of 1st Vice President Tova McGilvray, the meeting commenced with a quorum of Temple Sinai membership. The proposed Slate of Board Officers was presented to the assembled members, and we are thrilled to announce that it received overwhelming support from our community. The Slate of Board Officers passed with an astonishing 97% of votes in favor, a mere 3% against, and no abstentions.
Without further ado, we present to you the list of esteemed individuals who will assume their roles on July 1, 2023, as voted upon during the Special Congregational Meeting:
Six Executive Positions
(Two-year terms ending June 30, 2025)
- President – Tova McGilvray
- 1st Vice President – Michael Gorden
- 2nd Vice President – Vacant (We eagerly anticipate the appointment of a highly qualified candidate.)
- Chief Financial Officer – Marilyn Roberts
- Treasurer – Alexa Foley
- Secretary – Michael Cohen
Five Member-at-Large Positions
(One-year terms ending June 30, 2024)
- Susan Capistrant
- Laura Smith (incumbent)
- John Louie
- Jen Wulff (incumbent)
- Vacant (We look forward to filling this position with a dedicated individual.)
