It’s time for our annual congregation meeting when the members of Temple Sinai are invited to gather in the synagogue during the months of May or June. This year our meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 11th at 3:00 p.m. At the meeting, the Board reports on the financial condition of our synagogue, provides a review of the year just ending and information about the year ahead, and other matters of interest to our community. The nominees for the Board of Trustees for the upcoming fiscal year are presented to the membership for a vote of approval. Each membership unit in good financial standing is permitted one vote although everyone is invited to attend and participate in the meeting and join in the conversation.
The Board of Trustees consists of the immediate past president and eleven elected positions: six officers and five members-at-large. Representatives are appointed to serve from the Men’s Club and Sisterhood and the Rabbi serves as an ex-officio member of the Board, bringing the total number to fifteen.
This year our congregation has the opportunity to vote on each individual position on the slate. Click on the link to view the SLATE of NOMINEES and CANDIDATE BIOS and discover more about each of the nominees.
Below you will find the Agenda for the annual congregation meeting. Temple Sinai members may submit additional items for the agenda to the President no later than May 25, 2017 in accordance with the provisions in our by-laws. If no other items or nominations are received, the below agenda and slate are final.
I look forward to seeing and talking with you soon!
