The Temple Sinai Caring Committee performs many mitzvahs on behalf of Temple members and sometimes even for people who aren’t members. One of these activities is making phone calls (or emails) to members on their wedding anniversary or their birthday. Birthday calls are made to all congregants at least 21 years of age.

We split the effort between two people. With two people making the calls, the rate is a little less than 3 calls a week. We have one person doing this, but we need another.

Please consider becoming our birthday caller. Having made the Anniversary calls for over a year, I can say that this is a fun and rewarding mitzvah. If we cannot find someone willing to do this, it will cease to be a service of the Committee and the Temple. If anyone is interested or has an idea or suggestion, please contact me. I am happy to answer any questions – no commitments.
