To my Men’s Club colleagues,

Shall we try “this” again? Sunday, March 10th? Yeeeesss!

Waffles! Scrambled eggs! Bagels galore! Chocolates! Even cream for your coffee! Haha!

You may even want seconds after you hear Professor Renata Keller’s presentation of “Reefer Madness? A History of Marijuana.”

Professor Keller teaches modern Latin American history at UNR. Her first book examined the Cold War in Mexico and Mexico’s relations with Cuba and the United States. She is currently working on her second book, a hemispheric history of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Renata is originally from Tucson, Arizona and received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. I suspect there will be many questions for Professor Keller!

And some important business:

  1. Sinai Purim Carnival is Sunday, March 17th. Last year the Men’s Club made a generous donation of $350.00 to the religious school – can I see a show of hands to make the same donation this year? All in favor, please email “aye”
  2. The Purim committee is also looking for volunteers to help run the kitchen from roughly 10:30 am to 1:30 pm to help set up/clean up. Can you help?
  3. I would like to introduce our newest member to the Men’s Club – Mary “Mimi” Ellis Hogan! Mimi attended our January meeting – and was so impressed with the group, the speaker, the food… she had to join! Please welcome the one and only Mimi!
  4. Next meeting: Sunday April 14th – another special speaker, indeed! To be announced!

Please RSVP for our March 10th meeting to: https://sinaireno.org/mens-club
