Day of Remembrance 2019: The Holocaust and the Rise of Antisemitism in the 21st Century
As part of the "Week of Remembrance" in May 2019, on Thursday evening, May 2, 2019 - Yom Hashoah - The Council, together with OLLI (The Osher Life-Long Learning Institute of Reno) will present a program about the Holocaust at the Atlantis Hotel. Day of Remembrance 2020 presents "The Rescuers: Righteous Among the Nations - Non-Jews Who Risked Their Lives During the Holocaust." Featured speaker Marty Brounstein, author of "Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust, will tell the story of two heroic Dutch rescuers. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
