Home » Welcome to Our Livestream
Come together on the first Friday of every month for our Shabbat Potluck Dinners at 6:00 pm—right after Tot Shabbat (5:30 pm) and before Kabbalat Shabbat services (7:30 pm). It’s a wonderful way to connect with fellow congregants of all ages over a shared meal and the spirit of Shabbat.
Volunteers are needed each month to bring entrees, salads, fruit, and desserts, and to help with setup and cleanup for the potluck. Please bring only DAIRY or vegetarian dishes. We’re using SignUp.com to make it easy. Follow the instructions below.
On select Fridays this year, Temple Sinai will be closed for Shabbat Dinner. Celebrate Shabbat at home—light candles, share a meal, and invite friends or family to join you.
Then, join us the next morning at 10:00 am for Shabbat Morning Services at Temple Sinai and on our livestream.
Our first Shabbat-at-Home weekend begins Friday, November 14, 2025. Future dates are still being scheduled—check SinaiReno.org/Calendar for updates.
While Temple Sinai will be “closed” for these special Shabbat dinners, we WILL have hosted Shabbat Potluck Dinners in the social hall for single folks or anyone who needs somewhere to go for Shabbat Dinner. Click the button to RSVP and then join us in the Social Hall at 6:00 pm.
Good news! Temple Sinai now has Candles, Kedem Grape Juice, and Challah for sale in our Gift Shop. Swing by the Temple and pick up supplies to help you celebrate.

Praise to You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the universe,
Creator of the fruit of the vine.
Praise to You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the universe who,
finding favor with us, sanctified us with mitzvot,
In love and favor,
You made the holy Shabbat our heritage
as a reminder of the work of Creation.
As first among our sacred days,
It recalls the Exodus from Egypt. You chose us and set us apart from the peoples. In love and favor You have given us Your holy Shabbat as an inheritance. Praise to You, Adonai, who sanctifies Shabbat.
Baruch atah, Adonai

Our praise to You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the universe,
who brings forth bread from the earth.
In addition to gathering in person at Temple Sinai, we also stream Shabbat services and many other events live on Facebook and YouTube. When we’re live, the video will appear right here at the top of this page, as well as at the top of our Facebook feed and on our YouTube channel.
Please note: It may take 1–2 minutes after we begin broadcasting for the livestream to appear. If you don’t see it right away, try refreshing the page after a moment. Thank you for your patience!
When our children become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, we share the joy with everyone. We livestream each of these special services here on our website, as well as on Facebook and YouTube. This allows family and friends—near and far—to join in the celebration and be part of the milestone from wherever they are.
These services are held outdoors in parks 3 or 4 times per summer. We try to hold them at a park in the south of Reno (usually at South Valleys Regional Park) and in the north of Reno (usually at Northgate Park in northwest Reno). We do not livestream these services, and there is no custom siddur to download for them. Check out the Shabbat Under the Stars page for the exact places, dates, and times for this year’s summer outdoor services.
Join Us for Yism’zoom – Our Virtual Oneg Shabbat!
Every Shabbat when we have an in-person or virtual service, bring some challah and wine (or juice if you prefer) and join your friends at Temple Sinai for Yism’Zoom—a special virtual Oneg where we can see each other, chat, and connect via live video right after services.
No challah or wine? No problem—just come as you are!
Celebrate the joy of Shabbat! Join us in the Social Hall for an Oneg Shabbat immediately following our in-person Friday night services. It’s a wonderful time to connect, share treats, and enjoy community.
If you’d like to sponsor an Oneg—whether to celebrate a special occasion or honor the memory of a loved one—please click the button below or call the Temple office at (775) 747-5508.
